water taxi and liquor store

Is there a liquor store close to the water taxi in Ft Lauderdale?...say within a couple blocks of the taxi? Wanna pick up a few bottles of wine prior to cruise.

The Hut package store is near the Gallery One stop, but you can buy wine in any grocery store, CVS, Walgreens, Kmart, Target, etc.

Can you buy it on Sunday mornings? We arrive on 12/25 and the ship departs on Sunday 12/26 and I don't want to fly with wine in my luggage.

You have to wait until noon to purchase beer, wine, and liquor from any merchant on Sundays.

We are staying there pre-cruise as well and I posed this Q on the FLL board at TripAdvisor.

 

Apparently there is a CVS on N.Federal that is within walking distance. Will probably have a very limited wine selection. Also is a Mediterranean market within a block or two on Las Olas that might have a better wine selection but will likely be much more expensive.

 

I too, would like to know if there is a specific good spot within short easy walking distance of a water taxi stop.

Anyone? Bueller? Anyone?

It's almost a mile, but there was a small store called Macabe just east of SE 15th Ave. The Publix on Andrews is a mile away but sells wine and liquor. The closest wine is at CVS on N. Federal Hwy.

LOL we were on the boat a couple of weeks ago and ran out of vodka and were trying to find a liquor store we could access by boat.:D

So I guess it will be a quick land cab ride from Riverside to Total Wine:D if we can't water taxi over or ?Sun Trolly.

You can water taxi over but will have to walk a lot and you can Sun Trolley over but will have to take 2 trolleys. You could order ahead and have the taxi stop on the way to the port, as it is along the route.

..I'll scratch the water taxi.....I think I figured it out with the help of everyone here and on another forum....we will be at the Sheraton, so we can hop the trolley on Sunday, travel west and get off at 17th and Cordova, walk a couple blocks south and there is a Total Wine there. Or, on Monday, I can take #40 bus west to the same point.
