My family will be on a Carnival cruise to Bahamas next week. One stop is at Port Canaveral. We thought about going to KSC but decided against it because it's so expensive -- we decided to spend time at Cocoa Beach instead. However, we will have a rental car, so it's not any problem to make a trip to KSC if there is anything we can do there without paying the admission price. For instance, do you see anything interesting (rockets, or impressive architecture, or whatever) from the front gate without entering the complex? I wouldn't mind going there and taking some pictures from outside since I have the car already. Thanks.

LOL Homeland Security would probably be very interested in someone taking photos from the front gate:D

I'm sure someone will be able to give you good advice.

tho its been a LONG time since I've been to the Space Center, if you can grab a hold of a road map, there is a nature reserve that you can drive thru that will give you some great views of the shuttle launch pads...even tho they are the back side of the pads. There is also a nice beach towards the end that you can enjoy with your family.
