sagnellae Posted December 13, 2010 #1 Share Posted December 13, 2010 I have a friend who drinks a lot of water and wants to bring on a 2.5 gallon water dispenser. A lot to pack, I know, but as long as I'm not the one carrying it..... Anyway, will Carnival allow her to bring this on? We sail on the Sensation leaving Dec 16. Thanks! firefly333 Posted December 13, 2010 #2 Share Posted December 13, 2010 The rules do say you can carry on 12 nonalcholic drinks .. thats 1. There are no size limitations .. but thats a lot for your friend to carry on. Remember soda and wine has to be carried on only, it cannot be checked. Why is your friend not drinking the filtered water .. the ship's water is great to most people.
sagnellae Posted December 13, 2010 Author #3 Share Posted December 13, 2010 Thank you Fire :) I've assured her that the ship water is perfectly alright, but she's convinced that she wants her own water. Oh well...like I said, as long as I'm not the one carrying it around, to each their own!
firefly333 Posted December 13, 2010 #4 Share Posted December 13, 2010 I dont know that anyone has tried to bring on 2 1/2 gallon container .. so far no size limits posted in the rules.
LoriTX Posted December 13, 2010 #5 Share Posted December 13, 2010 I was planning on bringing a small Brita water filter pitcher on my next cruise
sagnellae Posted December 13, 2010 Author #6 Share Posted December 13, 2010 I've told her that there's no size limit but I'm not going to guarantee that a 2.5 jug is going to make it on! I'm sure Carnival will draw the line somewhere!

Crusing Nut Posted December 13, 2010 #8 Share Posted December 13, 2010 I have a friend who drinks a lot of water and wants to bring on a 2.5 gallon water dispenser. A lot to pack, I know, but as long as I'm not the one carrying it..... Anyway, will Carnival allow her to bring this on? We sail on the Sensation leaving Dec 16. Thanks! I bring on a 6 pack of water and a 6 pack of soda. I can't drink the filter water on board for any length of time... by the end of a 8 day cruise my ankles have disappeared due to the ships water. Have no idea why but I know that last year when I brought on the water on board, I had no problems at all with swelling ankles.
sagnellae Posted December 13, 2010 Author #9 Share Posted December 13, 2010 Thats going to be heavy to carry around until 1:30 pm when the cabins are ready. I agree...I've at least talked her into using a rolling suitcase.
