Just purchased one each for hubby and I for our upcoming 4/23 SUN transatlantic! Great entertainment for those long sea days and who knows? We might just win a little bit. Actually, I'll be happy to just break even! :D

hi everyone,

this is kevin from slot play coupons. I'm glad your forum members were able to confirm their experiences with using our coupons on board the ncl ships. If you have any questions, please let me know.

I will pass this question on to an NCL host to try and get a full slot credit usage explanation.

Slot Play Coupons

Post #42 of this thread may be the answer. It appears you can decide to use all or a part of the $50 credit on a particular slot machine.

I have a question regarding these coupons (if anyone has experienced this). After it is put into the CAS member card and after you credit $x to a machine. Say you do not bet all of it, and have $y remaining. Can you put the $y back into the card for a later time during the cruise?

But they want to know if you can recredit to the card AFTER they credited it to a machine, not before.

My thoughts (from what I read from the people on here who actually have used this new site) are that it works just like the old slot match play coupons NCCL used to give in their casino coupon book. You decide the amount you want to play on any particular machine. You can cash out any winnings OVER the amount wagered and if you wish I am sure you can have those winnings put back on your casino card at the teller window since cash out amounts are printed out by the machine. I have never personally done this but it seems logical. At least that is how the slot machines have worked on our previous NCL cruises. Carnival had no printed cash outs so that was very confusing and I never did figure it out:confused:) on our last cruise (and first Carnival one). NCL's system seems like the couple of land casinos I have played slots in and I liked that much better. Surely there is someone out there who can explain this better than I am doing!! (I am not much of a slot player and mostly just watch DH play!)

You can always print out whatever you have won on the slot play. For example if you put $10 in and on your first spin you win $5, you can cash out that $5 but you still have to play the rest of the $10. I would suggest that you put it into a machine in small amounts that way you won't have a problem.

Good Luck

I just returned today from the Gem and the coupons work great. You take them to the promotion area ( where you get your cas players card) and it took less then 5 minutes for them to down load your $50.00 of slot play on to your cas card. You then decided how much of that amount you wanted to play on your machine. The machines seemed very generous this time.

Purchased and used them on our 2/27 cruise on the Jewel. They worked - took 5 minutes to get the $ loaded on our card. Unfortunately it took less than that for us to lose it!! But at least the vouchers work!

Just returned from Epic (3/5-12).

Based on info from these boards, I decided to try the slot coupons. Yes, I had the same concerns as many others expressed. Still, I gave it a try. I purchased 2 $50 coupons for $25 each. The coupons were very easy to redeem. We had no issues or problems whatsoever. I'm not a casino person, but my mother enjoys her slots. She was happy with $100 worth of play and I was happy that it burned up only $50...win, win!

Without these boards I would not have known about this promotion. If you are reading this and are planning to play the slots anyway, my advice is to go ahead and buy the coupon.

I believe I am a Casinos at Sea member. On my first NCL cruise I traded points for $100 worth of slot play. I do not have the card they gave me back then. I just purchased two coupons for my May Gem cruise. Do you think I will have any trouble redeeming?

The one thing that I don't understand is the part about having to spend so much of it. Does it mean you have to at least spend $25? What if you sit there for a long time and the money keeps going up and down and in the end you have $50 and you want to cash out? Or what if you get a big hit right away and want to cash out, can you not do this? This is the part that makes me nervous, I don't want to go knowing I can't take it out when I want.

They sound appealing but I don't want to "have" to spend it all as this wouldn't be of any benefit.

Just take your coupon to the desk in the casino, and they will give you a CAS card and instructions how to use the 50 dollar credit. You can enter 1 dollar or 50 dollars in a machine and you must play the amount you enter before you can cash out everything from that machine. The remainder of your 50 dollars is available to use on other machines by inserting the card and telling the machine how much you want to play. If you have accumulated points on your old card, tell them and they will find your record if it is current enough.

DON'T FORGET TO TAKE YOUR CARD WHEN YOU CHANGE MACHINES !!!!!

You don't have to spend the entire 50 dollars on one machine. You determine how much, and you have to play that amount before you change machines. Say you enter 5 dollars and run it up to 100 dollars. You can cash out as long as you have played enough to use up the initial 5 dollars. You will still have 45 dollars available on your card to use on other machines.

You don't, once you put the $50. through the slots, you can cash out. If you have $500. credit or $1.00 at the end, it's yours to do with what you want, as long as you bet $50. or whatever amount you loaded into the machine. If you load $50. and bet $1.00 and win big, you still have $49. to play before the monry is actually yours...
