pinebro Posted January 4, 2011 #1 Share Posted January 4, 2011 our son is getting married in St Thomas while cruising on the Summit in late April, I am looking for air options for my sis in law and neice in Edinburgh (Polish citizens), to the cruise which departs from San Juan, Puerto Rico. what are good websites/airlines to look at ? better for me to book from USA, or for them to book UK? as always, thanks CC members for their help!! We're The Groupnors Posted January 4, 2011 #2 Share Posted January 4, 2011 A good option for that route would be Continental. They have a direct, non-stop from Edinburgh to Newark, then another direct, non-stop from Newark to San Juan. I doubt you'd get any direct flights, unless they could find a direct charter flight that would include the cruise.
sddsddean Posted January 4, 2011 #3 Share Posted January 4, 2011 As said above the most direct flight is Continental via Newark. You will have to both do online searches to see who comes up with the best price. Apart from Continental's site, try www.kayak.com and www.bt-store.com (this one is usually better for people in the US rather than Europe). marg77 Posted January 6, 2011 #5 Share Posted January 6, 2011 My DH and I flew Glasgow – to Gatwick and then Virgin Atlantic to San Juan in November. Our preference would have been not go via London but this wasn’t available at a reasonable price. We booked a package through Virgin Cruise Holidays 3 nights hotel and 7 night cruise and it only cost an additional 50pp to fly Glasgow to Gatwick. Only down side was we touched down in Antiga for an hour before we flew on to San Juan.
