Iwant2BatC Posted January 8, 2011 #1 Share Posted January 8, 2011 Does anyone by any chance know who the Captain and Hotel Manager will be on the Volendam cruise March 14th? Thx
RuthC Posted January 9, 2011 #2 Share Posted January 9, 2011 I don't know the answer to your question. But I do know that if you arrive at the pier in Sydney on March 14, you will have missed the ship. We sail on March 13.

Thx Personally I would be worried about the safety on this ship after the tragic incident in New Zealand. Not who the Captain or Hotel Manager were. Not who the Captain or Hotel Manager were. That is a very silly comment to make. Why jump to conclusions, when you are only getting information through the media as to what happened. Wait for the coroner to make come out with a report before you make such harsh remarks.

Seeing the photograph of the lifeboat hanging over the side of the ship as well as a crew member losing his life is not jumping to conclusions, it is clearly a maintenance issue. If I had to abandon ship half way accross the Tasman Sea or walk around the promanade deck with these lifeboats hanging above my head I would be concerned. Prehaps you better not go cruising anymore if you are concerned with lifeboats hanging above your head!
