Hello....

Received $200 OBC from Celebrity when I booked cruise on ship last year for our Feb. sailing.

Recieved $200 OBC from Travel Agency.

If I don't end up using all my OBC how can I get $$$ back??

Is is possible to do this at the Casino....by $400 worth of chips and then cash them back in for cash???

Thanks in advance for your help

The Celebrity OBC is use or lose. The TA OBC is use or get cash back or credited to your credit card. The Celebrity OBC is deducted first and will most likely pay for your gratuities.

You should easily be able to find a way to spend it all, i.e., bottle or two of wine for dinner, martinis before dinner, spa treatment, shore excursion, souvenirs, etc, etc, etc.

I didn't think it was possible to combine Celebrity OBC with TA OBC. Has this changed? Sometimes it's hard to keep up.

You just can't combine two Celebrity credits. For example, OBC for booking a cruise while on a cruise, and combining that with OBC for having 100 shares of stock.

You can combine Celebrity OBC with TA's OBC, because TA OBC is just like cash.

Hi Dotsofunn !

Yes, you can buy chips at the Casino tables. It will cost you 3%, but if you have any "use it or lose it", OBC's.... it's not a bad choice. If you have any refundable OBC's, there's no need to do that, as any balance will be refunded to your Credit Card.

Here's a tip : On day 2 or 3 of your sailing, ask Guest relations for a Printout of your charges. Your OBC's should show on your statement. "OBN" is a Non-Refundable OBC, and "OBR" is a Refundable OBC. This will help you do your planning.

One other item... Celebrity applies any spending towards NON-Refundable OBC's first, so they are fair in that respect. I hope this helps.

On my December Eclipse cruise I had about $80.00 credit remaining on the last evening. Went to the Casino and they redeemed it for a 3% charge. The gave the full amount to me and the 3% was added to my onboard account.

Thanks to all for your help. We are traveling with a group of 8 so we are using select dining. With select dining celebrity adds the gratuities into your final payment....so that isn't an option to use OBC or OBR for gratuities. I think we will just have to hit the casino if we have OBC left!! Thanks again!!

I wish I could have a $400 OBC and have some left....those drinks around the pool do me in! :p And if they don't do the job, something else always seems to make it just disappear! :D

That is why we selected a traditional dining time for our recent B2B Summit cruises in order to avoid prepaying the gratuities as we also had a large OBC. Once onboard we and our two friends had no problem to changed it select dining and using a large part of the OBC to pay the gratuities.
