Junior suites???

We've never booked a junior suite, but have the opportunity on spring freedom of the seas cruise; other than being a bit bigger and having the bathtub, are there any perks that they include? Do you have access to roped off area at ice show or sundeck for suite guests? Is there use of concierge lounge? We're not sure what the benefits are with junior suites. Also, if you have a 12 month old, do they provide a crib, or do you bring like a pack and play?

Thanks

Not allot of perks with a Junior Suite. The extra room (and with a baby I would recommend it). Two cruise credits; the suite check in line; robes.

No preferred treatment for shows, etc. We did a JS on the Freedom last year for spring break and thoroughly enjoyed it. We were on Deck 9 and it was perfect. Enjoy your cruise!

Only perks are priority boarding and 2 cruise credits for the cruise. Otherwise they are not really considered a suite for purposes of other benefits. You do have a walk-in closet that is very nice. And a larger balcony because the cabin is wider than a regular balcony.

A "bit" bigger is an understatement...they are about 1/3 larger than a D catagory. And they have a HUGE walk-in closet with shelves and LOTS of hanging space. Because there's a tub, the bathroom is a bit roomier, too. The balcony is wider because it's as wide as the room. A JS is most like a nice hotel room.

You do NOT get the use of the concierge lounge.

You will get an extra C&A credit, tho and priority boarding, where available.

If you need a P&P, they will provide one...plenty of space for it, too!

We had our first JS last month on Serenade, and we visited a friend's on Liberty, and I would say there is much more than "a bit" more room. The JS's feel much more like a hotel room than a ship stateroom, IMHO.

Also, other than the aforementioned robes, there is a coffee- and tea-maker and supplies, and upgraded toiletries:

For us, it was very much worth the extra cost for three people, but if it just the two of us, a regular balcony is fine, or an inside if the balconies are too expensive. But for more than two people, a JS is wonderful!

Also having a baby, the bathtub might prove helpful.
