Will the Jewel arrive in the snow??

Hi

Our friends are arriving back to NYC tomorrow. I know the water isn't frozen so the ship can come in, but surreal arrival. Are there snow plans for those returning and leaving? Just wondering. It might be a real mess with transportation needs, etc. Comments?

The Jewel seems to becoming a 'snow-magnet'. They were here on the big one 26 Dec, also.

Perhaps they could create a temporary 'skating rink'?:D

As I write this the Jewel is returning to NYC. Can see her from from apartment window. Getting close to going under the V-Narrows Bridge. :)

Most flights are cancelled for today, but Amtrak was running this morning.

Some friends got off the Jewel this morning, but since Amtrak to Boston closed for a while with a tree that fell on the tracks, they had to make arrangements to stay in NYC tonight and take the train back in the morning.

Thanks for your comments. I couldn't see that the ship wouldn't come in but it must have been quite a sight for the folks who were up, on board. I always like to be up on the top deck as we come in from the sea to the port, as my final "excursion". I'm sure that my friend and his mom will be nice and cozy somewhere tonight. I'm going to check out that link to watching the ship aproach the port.
