mojean Posted January 13, 2011 #4 Share Posted January 13, 2011 I've never used ES rates but just curious how would you be able to check rates for price reduction if they aren't present for viewing? Do you check it on another site?

Do you check it on another site? You can (also) check rates on the major on-line TA sites. If Early Saver is withdrawn, you are only eligible for drops in the rates (55+, Past Guest, Military, Resident...) that you are eligible for. If the rate for your specific Category isn't shown, that category is probably soldout, and isn't eligible for price-matching. If the rate for a category above yours drops to/below your ES rate, you can upgrade and get any price difference. ken

Do you check it on another site? http://www.carnival.com/BookingEngine/FareViewer you gotta know what you paid for cruise price only- that is the only price you will be looking at. to see that go into your booking on carnival site-- and click on your documents and go into general information- cruise fare is listed on that page
Tralynn Posted January 13, 2011 #7 Share Posted January 13, 2011 Usually, if the rate isn't showing, it's no longer being offered.
zstell Posted January 13, 2011 #8 Share Posted January 13, 2011 The price reduction is for any published rate you are eligible for (ie. past guest, pack and go, etc) that is less that you paid up to 2 days prior to departure. The ES rate will "disappear" as others have posted, but if the other rates are less than the ES rate you book, you can request the reduction.
