compozer Posted January 27, 2011 #76 Share Posted January 27, 2011 Tortuga. http://www.tortugarumcakes.com/ It wouldn't surprise me if they're readily available in parts of the USA, but I really don't know. All I know is I never seen them before and I loved it. Marshalls was selling them in December
lovetotraveldn Posted January 28, 2011 #77 Share Posted January 28, 2011 Great review - funny, honest... Thank You! Sorry for your loss but glad you decided to go forward with the trip. Hubby & I are doing the same ship / cruise April 30th to celebrate our 25th. Could you possibly tell me how many formal nights there were & which nights they were? Thanks!! Putterdude Posted January 28, 2011 #78 Share Posted January 28, 2011 I have got a real kick out of this thread as we were on the same cruise. By the way our letter from Hell was waiting for us here in AZ when we got back here on Sunday...so I am guessing it was about a week for us. crazygal65 Posted January 31, 2011 #80 Share Posted January 31, 2011 We just got off the Crown this past Saturday. The majority of the crew seemed pretty nice, but we did get a feeling there were some unhappy campers there that did not really enjoy their jobs. We were on Emerald last September and enjoyed that ship more. We booked pretty much last minute and ended up with the very last cabin at the bow of the ship on Plaza deck 5. It was a rock and roll ride when we were out in open water. Fortunately neither one of us suffers from sea sickness. Every wave that hit the ship was like a shot from a cannon. There would be a bang and then a rumble as we could hear the waves traveling the length of the ship. We have never been as near the water line before or as far forward. Never again! We didn't get the bed configuration we had asked for or the robes, but when we reported this we got what we wanted plus a bottle of champagne and a free robe to take home, so no complaints there. We had pretty good food overall and enjoyed the ports of call. We took no tours and did our own thing which we love. Coming back home to Ontario's cold and snow was a drag. Still think Princess is the best:)
crazygal65 Posted February 1, 2011 #81 Share Posted February 1, 2011 Yes we have purchased art twice on cruises. We have a favorite artist and never see her stuff in the stores. Our paintings arrive about 4 weeks after our cruise and they are in lovely frames, which would cost way more if we purchased them here at home. Just to answer your question.
