HAL Berth Venice

Hullo,

Just querying where the HAL ships berth while in Venice? We will be staying in the San Marco district and would like to plan best route from hotel to ship.

Many thanks

It's not always the same berth. if you hit the port of venice website, you will be able to see the 'anticipated' berth for your date. subject to change though. You might get more info on the 'ports' boards.

As kazu said, the berth can vary, but they're all essentially the same distance from San Marco.

Our cruise left from one and came back to another.

Are you planning on taking the vaporetto, or a private water taxi? The vaporetto will only get you as close as Piazzale Roma, and then the best way from there is the new People Mover to the mid-way stop at the Marittima Terminal.

If you are going to be in Venice try to use a private water taxi. While a bit pricey, the experience is really not to be missed. We arrived in Venice via cruise ship, and had arranged for a private water taxi to take us to our hotel which was on a a small canal and had a water window ( part of the reason we selected that hotel was the water window.) Two days later we took the water taxi form the hotel to the airport. A GREAT thing to do! And only possible in Venice.

On that schedule I see that on Sep 10 the N.A. will be at Riva Sette Martiri. That's a great place to dock because it's only about a kilometer west of San Marco Plaza. (We were moved to that location at 3:00a on our overnight.)

OP, would you be so lucky as to be on that cruise?
