A single snack basket per cabin, with a single drink (can of soda, water bottle, etc.) per person.

I was very surprised when I boarded on Jan 23rd to find that my Seapass said "Emerald" on it and when I got to the cabin I found an Emerald coupon booklet and Emerald amenities (I flew out the 21st and never went on-line the 2 days I was in Ft Lauderdale so didn't know about the change, though had read about Jan 12th rumors). Since I hadn't had time to sign up for an amenity, they left a bottle of water next to the "basket" (sealed box with a couple of things in it) and cheese platter. The water was a nice, large glass bottle of Evian with a pop top (probably at least a liter). I didn't drink it for a couple of days since I thought it was a mini bar type item that I would have to pay for. I eventually went on-line and found out about my free amenity so figured that must be it.

Since I had 8 credits, I will hopefully be Diamond soon since we had a suite (we have slowly been working on it since 1992).

I agree the higher your level the more the perks add up. Some are just nice little touches, others truly do add up over the course of your cruise, no doubt about it!:)

I'm only Emerald :(, and I'm sure I could wade through RCCL or C&A's website, but you guys are more on the ball. Do I get a beverage and snack in my cabin???? Heck, I'm easy to impress. I'd even be thrilled with that!! ...an amenity??..or is that just a bottle of water or diet coke? Now I'm so confused. After our next cruise, we will be Diamond...for now, I just wondered if Emerald gets something new too! Help!!!

This is what I found on the Crown & Anchor section of the website:

Emerald, Diamond, Diamond Plus and Pinnacle Club members will receive a pre-selected welcome gift basket on day one of their sailing. The pre-selected gift basket will consist of one sweet, one salty and one fruit snack which will be placed in the guest's stateroom. The guest will also be able to go online to www.RoyalCaribbean.com/UpgradePreferences or call one of our Loyalty Representatives (www.RoyalCaribbean.com/ContactLoyalty) in their local offices to pre-select from a list of beverages to be included with their Welcome Basket. One beverage can be selected per guest 18 years of age or older. Preferences must be entered or updated for your upcoming cruise vacation up to 5 days before a US based sailing and 7 days for an internationally based sailing. The beverage selection list for Emerald and Diamond members will include water, juice and soda items. In addition to the previous list Diamond Plus and Pinnacle Club members will be able to select certain beers, a house red wine, house white wine or house sparkling wine. If a guest has not selected an item then bottled water will be sent to the stateroom. House alcoholic brands may be substituted or changed upon available inventory.

Hope it helps!

Thanks for the good news but we don't cruise on the Oasis (I'm sure you will be happy for that) for it is too crowded for our taste. ;)

We were on the Allure last month. One thing that amazed me is that even though we had 5,990 passengers, it was not crowded at all. We were even able to get decent deck chairs next to the pool anytime of the day.

While there are more passengers, the ship is so large and spread out that there are really no large crowds. Sure, there are a few spot crowds here and there; at the entrances to entertainment venues, etc., but in general, that was an exception, not the rule.

In contrast, other RC ships I have been on, while smaller, seemed a lot more crowded. For example, when I was on the Radiance, you couldn't get a deck chair near a pool unless you were there at 9AM, before all of the chair hoarders claimed them all.

regarding the crowds on these two ships! The design was so well thought out you'll sometimes be walking through central park, the boardwalk even the royal promenade and say to yourself, where is everybody? Loved it!:)

Just back from a b2b on Liberty......

First week we were Diamond and second week we were Dplus.

Received the basket and drink at embarkation. There is a slight difference in D and Dplus baskets. The Dplus has cheese and crackers in it, has a white ribbon, and is wrapped prettier in cellophane paper. The D basket has cookies and fruit snacks and has a blue ribbon.

We received 1 drink per person.....(I had water down for dh and diet coke for me)....Dplus we got the wine (after seeing the LA again since the previous LA didn't put us in as Dplus) but it was rectified.

Nicer touch than chocolates on the pillow that a lot of people threw away.

The 18 and older is a little cheap. My Grandson is 17 and is in a cabin with a friend across from us. He is Emerald, and all his points are points he has earned by being on enough cruises to qualify, not points his parents alone earned. There should be the same for the under 18 in a cabin if the points were earned own-their own. He always gets the kids coupon book and most of them are just useless for a 17 year old. We give him our Johnny Rockets coupons and a couple of others. He's just not into having a henna tattoo or some of the other kiddy coupons. Oh well....he will be on many more cruises, so.....

Hi all,

I have to comment on the conversion from credits to points. Overall we were pleased, and we think that RCCL did a fine job. It was really very fair and the conversion was generous. That said, I have a complaint, and Crown and Anchor seems to be ignoring my emails about it.

We sailed on the Radiance on Jan 13th, and got off the ship on the 17th. So under the old system that was a credit. So we should have gotten the full benefit of the credit since the sailing was completed before the new system went into effect; however, since RCCL is so slow crediting to your account, this sailing was not posted by the 21st. So even though the sailing was completed under the old system, our credit (or now points) was applied under the new system. Not fair, I say. We are penalized because RCCL was so slow in applying credits. Even the literature mailed out says that the system went into effect on the 21st.

Come on Crown and Anchor, you need to be consistent and if the cruise was completed under the old system, these folks all need to have their credits converted to points under the system in place when they sailed.

RCCL and Crown and Anchor, we love you anyway, but this was not good. You tried so hard to be fair, but this is wrong. Why ruin a good thing by not following through and doing the correct conversion for those loyal folks who had already sailed.

on other posts, and seems like the credits have been rectified even if it took a bit longer, hopefully that will be the case with you:)
