I am very glad that the Great Outdoors is still where we left it in 2004. We found our favorite spot above the bar and under the awning. Hoping for a reunion with the Sun next spring to Copenhagen. Shopping for a cabin below the Great Outdoors.

If you are going for one on the very back, avoid deck 10 as the birds taking food from the great outdoors will perch on your railing and leave white surprises on your railing, balcony, and chairs.

If you can swing one of the stern facing minis on Deck 9, they are great - their balconies are big enough for two chaises and two chairs....and the room itself is very nice sized. We had one of the balconies next door and were envious of our neighbors.

We were on the Sun for 4 weeks in Dec/Jan and have already booked 4 weeks again this year between Thanksgiving and Christmas. I too was interested in hearing about the changes.

Have a great time. It was so nice to meet you in January. We chose the Star for our next cruise but hope to go on the Sun again the near future.

Dear Cruise Critic Members,

JKW2010 - Thank you for your review of Norwegian Sun. We value your feedback and appreciate your post. We are glad you enjoyed the cruise.

We would like to address the confusion surrounding the pricing of Norwegian Sun’s new restaurant, Moderno Churrascaria. The price is the same $20 cover charge as on Norwegian Epic.

Regards,

Norwegian Cruise Line

We ate twice at Moderno on our Epic b2b cruise and its just excellent and the salad bar is a meal on it's own with some great items like hearts of palm, crevice and cold shrimp, stuffed Greek grape leaves to name a few.
