Barcelona Port to Girona Airport

I am due to arrive back in port after an NCL cruise on a Sunday in Sept at 07:00

 

I originally planned to Leave my luggage somewhere and spend the day in the city, and catch a flight to Edinburgh at 22:20

 

I am now hesitant about this for various reasons, mainly "where can i safely leave my luggage?" for the day.

 

I am now considering catching an earlier flight from Girona 13:30.

 

Do you think this would be practical ie: getting of the ship to the Estacion del Nord, and catch the bus for Girona at 9:45 i belleive.

 

Or can you advise what to do with my luggage

Do you know that Girona is 80 km from Barcelona? You are flying Ryanair right???

Is there not an earlier cheap flight from BCN? I ask because NCL booked us on a silly flight to Newcastle via Amsterdam, which took all day, and we noticed an Easyjet going to N/C around 11am.

Would it be as simple to get that flight, metro to N/C station, and fast train to Edinburgh?
