Has anyone done the Scenic Coastal hike through Princess Excursions?

We would like to do something active, but are hesitant to book a cruise excursion through the ship. In the past, we have found them to be too crowded & end up feeling a bit like 'cattle'! The Scenic coastal hike looks fun, but has anyone out there done this excursion? Is it fun? Time for shopping after? Thanks :)

Yes I did it in October, it was great! The guide was great, provided anything you needed. You will get back in plenty of time to go shopping...but you'll def want lunch first!
