The Welsh Man Posted February 7, 2011 #1 Share Posted February 7, 2011 If anybody is interested Oceana is lining up ready to leave the Panama Canal at Miraflores Locks in the next 1/2 hour or so. Did this trip last year, had a fantastic time, even released turtles in Acapulco. I've added the link to Panama Canal Website, it can be slow to update http://www.pancanal.com/eng/photo/camera-java.html?cam=MirafloresHi Carl

PRIORY ROAD Posted February 7, 2011 #5 Share Posted February 7, 2011  Missed it, wished i logged on a little sonner :( Never mind, she goes back through on Sunday 20th Feb (with me on it!). She usually starts her transit between 12.00 noon/1.00 pm UK time, and then completes it about 7.00/8.00 pm.

Never seen a ship go throught the Panama Canal before, I will check that site out more often. Enjoy your cruise!

steelerannie Posted February 17, 2011 #8 Share Posted February 17, 2011 I was on it!!!!! It was a truly amazing once in a lifetime experience. The weather was superb (35 degrees) and not a drop of rain. We saw turtles and had lots of dolphins swimming at the side of the ship. Also on one of the sailaways there were 2 whales! The HAL ship was Zuierdam (Don't know if that's the correct spelling!)

jocap Posted February 17, 2011 #10 Share Posted February 17, 2011 A number of us check the shipsmap AIS each day, to see which cruise ships are going through. if you google webcamsgalore, then go to the Panama section, you can see the ones going through.
