Miracle, Glory, Liberty or Dream

A group of my friends and I just got off the Liberty. We loved it. We are planning to book a cruise for February next year. We like the itineraries for the Miracle, Glory, Dream and Liberty. The people I am sailing with have only ever cruised on the Liberty and the Freedom. They enjoyed these ships because of their size, variety of restaurants and activities. Just wondering if they would enjoy the Miracle as it is smaller than what they have previously sailed. Trying to get others opinions.

Thanks for any input.

If it is the size they enjoy than the Dream would definatly be out. lol. Seriously, I have sailed all sizes and the size didn't make a difference. Unless size is really a hang up, I would discuss with each other where you want to go and what you would like to do. That would be the decision maker. With the right company, any cruise it great.

We did the Miracle, Splendor and Liberty and enjoyed all. We actually really like the Miracle, sailed it twice. It has grapes on the ceiling or so it looks, lol! They were exceptional friendly on that ship. I am sure you will enjoy it.

I, myself, love the Miracle! Great ship, the staff is phenomenal! It's not all that much smaller than the others...just less passengers, so it tends not to feel as crowded. If they were in love with the big screen on Lido, however, don't go on the Miracle...no big screen (which I prefer). The aft Lido (adult pool) is not enclosed by glass, which is also a big hit in my book!

We loved the Miracle both times we were on her. Not to big and not to small. The CD, Malcolm Burn, is fabulous. You gotta see his silent film skit. She is very easy to navigate around and there aren't as many lines as on the Glory and the Dream. We haven't been on the Liberty so cannot comment on her. We are thinking about doing the Miracle again next Jan, same itinerary as last year but a nice relaxing time away after the holidays.:)

I have had the pleasure of being on all 4 of the ships mentioned. I like the conquest style ships.(Freedom/Liberty/Glory) I also enjoyed the Dream. I enjoy sitting on Lido in the early morning watching the news- the Miracle does not have the large screen that the others have. I kept getting turned around on Miracle - and I didn't like the entertainment split between 2 decks. But to each their own. If I had my druthers, it would not be Miracle, but a larger ship, if the price and itineraries were the same.

I've sailed on all of the ships you are asking about except the Glory. The Miracle is a wonderful ship if you like the mid class ships that are easy to navigate and smaller crowds. On our last sailing of this ship in October the live entertainment in the casino and atrium was sleepy at best. The comedians, juggler, ventriliquist were all very good. The piano bar was dead although the piano player was good at playing but did alot of talking. I've never seen a piano bar so empty night after night.

The Dream is my favorite ship so far. The crowds didn't phase me. I really enjoyed all of the food options and entertainment options. The shows were the best I've seen. The Fun Force was on this ship and they are an incredibly talented group. There wasn't much that I didn't love about this cruise.

If your friends are wowed by the entertainment options and food options then the Dream would be my first choice. :)

I have sailed on the Conquest and Liberty and Miracle. I loved the Liberty and hated the Miracle. The Miracle to me was much more congested. I know I am the minority on the Miracle but I did not like the decor of the Miracle either. The Liberty has been my favorite ship so far.

Hay Grace 1107,

What is the age group of your people. I jsut had my family and friends sail with me on the Liberty on January 29th. Everyone had a blast and I have now held space on the January 29th Glory for 2012. If your ages are between 22 and 35 I say stay on the Glory!!!!!!!

I've been fortunate enough to have sailed on Glory and Legend three times. Sailed on Miracle and Liberty once. We're trying to decide if we want to attempt the Dream for a future cruise.

Glory and Liberty are similar to the Freedom. Layouts similar and so is guest capacity. I loved both ships and didn't feel too crowded in public areas. I especially like the fish and chips upstairs from the buffet area on the Liberty along with the large screen tv on Lido.

My favortie class is Spirit which would include the Miracle and Legend. Nice size, smooth deck plan, public spaces not as crowded. Most amenities are on the Spirit class except for large screen TV on Lido, fish and chips station, I'm sure there are others that I can't think of.

You may want to consider your itinerary first, ship second. I don't think you'd be dissappointed on any Carnival ship.

I've sailed all the Ships you mentioned.

It's like picking a favorite child.

The Miracle is a Great Ship, although it doesn't have the stadium seating on the Lido, Or the Big Screen, it has a larger passenger to space ratio.

Spirit-Class Ships have a Promenade that encircles the entire Ship and you can get from one end to the other on all decks because the Galley isn't in the middle of the ship, like Freedom or Liberty.

I've enjoyed the St.Maarten, St.Lucia, St.Kitts itinerary and am thinking of sponsoring a CC Cruise to repeat.

Been on Glory and just got off Liberty. Both have the same layout. My wife and I both thought the talent and performances in the theater were better on Liberty. I've never been big on who the CD is but I have to say that Liberty seemed to be better at activities being started on time and just seemed to have more going on. The activity staff was VERY good and I have to attribute that to the CD's management. I would chose Liberty over Glory but both were a lot of fun. Food and service was comparable and excellent on both.

pe4all,

That's exactly how I felt on Legend; every time I went to a particular area, it was someplace else and not near where I thought it should be. I guess when you are used to Conquest class, other distinctly different layouts are confusing when the decor is so similar. :o

I guess great minds think alike!;) It took me 2 days to find the blasted piano bar, and then I "lost" it again for a day! Too many twists/turns/narrow hallways for me. I even liked Fantasy more than Miracle! Not that it would stop me from cruising a spirit class again, if the itinerary and price were right. But back to the Dream - I would definitely sail her again. Didn't find it overly crowded (except the showroom, which they should have made larger) and had a great time on her.

I have sailed on both the Glory and the Dream. For me the Dream seemed much more crowded than any other cruise ship I have ever been on. Personally i would not rush back to a Dream class. We really liked the Glory a lot! In fact, it is one of our favorite ships! I have never been on the Miracle (going on her this October) but have been on the Spirit. From what I remember I liked it!
