plan2travel Posted February 10, 2011 #1 Share Posted February 10, 2011 We are staying at the Four Seasons in Sydney. Our ship will be docked at the Overseas Passenger Terminal. Can we walk from the hotel or is it better to take a cab?
woodscruise Posted February 10, 2011 #2 Share Posted February 10, 2011 Hi Plan2travel. The four seasons hotel is located at the end of George St and yes it is an easy walk to the OPT Sydney. It will take approx 5 minutes - 10 minutes.
Rare Roland4 Posted February 10, 2011 #3 Share Posted February 10, 2011 It will depend to a certain degree on how many suitcases you have. It's an easy walk, but the area around Circular Quay (where the OPT is) is busy at the best of times and is moreso on "turnaround" days. Ask at the hotel if one of their porters can take your bags. We did that when we dismbarked there in 2008 and the porter was more than happy to walk our bags to the Park Hyatt, which is about the same distance, give or take a bit. Rare jpalbny Posted February 10, 2011 #4 Share Posted February 10, 2011 It's a quarter of a mile and IIRC, flat with wide sidewalks. Should be a very easy walk. Agree with others that the limiting factor will be the number of suitcases you want to lug with you. Four Seasons is nice - hope you get a room with an opera house view; it will make for a nice picture!

duct tape Posted February 12, 2011 #6 Share Posted February 12, 2011 If we do not dock at Circular Quay, as we have not on occasion, it is definitely a cab ride to the quay behind the Rocks at the mouth of Darling Harbor.
