Nibby1 Posted March 4, 2005 #1 Share Posted March 4, 2005 If there are previous Alaska cruisers out there, do you recall if the dining room hours and sitting times remain the same when the ship is in port till 11 PM. I wondered if they kept the main & late sitting times, or if they had open sittings since many folks would be on shore excursions till later and would miss their normal mealtime sitting. This question is specifically for Mercury when it is in Juneau from 1PM to 11PM on port day.

Rare Coral Posted March 4, 2005 #4 Share Posted March 4, 2005 What does Princess do when in Alaska ports late? You can go to the Personal Choice (anytime dining rooms) or the buffet. This is one reason why I like Princess in Alaska. When we did RCCL, we missed our dining time due to a whale watch and ended up at the Speciality restaurant paying $20 pp (Chops). Budget Queen Posted March 5, 2005 #5 Share Posted March 5, 2005 The Personal Choice dining on Princess allows seating up to 10pm I believe. This is available to ANYONE. But for me in Alaska - meals are way down on the priority list. :) Plenty of other options with most all ships having lido buffet dining and certainly the 24/hour room service.
