mikeblum Posted February 18, 2011 #6 Share Posted February 18, 2011 for shopping purposes the havensheight pier is much better...we have docked at both and they are almost equal distance from the DT shopping district...which is only about a 6 or 7 minute cab ride away...we have even walked it into the DT area to get some exercise...when shopping in st thomas bring your patience...there are some WONDEFUL deals on jewelry on this port of call... Loucat Posted February 19, 2011 #8 Share Posted February 19, 2011 My God it is ugly from the back looks like a V going to tip! Have to agree with that! I have read good reviews but we are not ready for that size of a ship and that number of passengers. Just my opinion.
dennbr9 Posted February 19, 2011 #9 Share Posted February 19, 2011 Have to agree with that! I have read good reviews but we are not ready for that size of a ship and that number of passengers. Just my opinion. Actually, because of the size you do not notice the number of people at all. We are just off a B2B and it was a wonderful experience. Not in a hurry to do again due to Itinerary and it being only 7 days, but am really glad we gave it a whirl. Of course this is just my opinion too, but it is based on having been there:-)
FLHugh Posted February 19, 2011 #10 Share Posted February 19, 2011 Ugly, yes, it looks like it was docked somewhere and the one that was supposed to dock behind it was not able to stop and sort of ran into the back and then they had to fill in the void!!! Ocean Boy Posted February 19, 2011 #11 Share Posted February 19, 2011 I would have to agree that Oasis's back side does not seem to be it most aesthetically pleasing aspect.
