Future Cruise Credit Question and OBC

I am going on the Spirit April 1, 2011 and would like to purchase fcc's because they offer $100 OBC on future cruises. The day I get home from the cruise I would like to book the Legend for October 23, 2011 with my travel agent as he is offering OBC. Can I get both the $100 OBC from Carnival and the OBC from the travel agent and thus "double dip" and have multiple OBC's. Any responses from people who have done this are greatly appreciated.

Your TA isnt allowed to openly give you OBC if its from the TA. It will never be on your docs, so it would have no effect on any other OBC you get from Carnival.

Not completely true. My TA gave us OBC which I didn't know about until we got onboard and there was a card in our room and it was on our statement. I think it is only ES that they can't do anything about. I've also had them give me free insurance for a past guest rate.

My travel agent is saying $50 OBC for inside, $75 OBC for outside and $100 OBC for balcony. So I will get $100 OBC from Carnival and up to $100 OBC from the travel agent which will show up on the account on the ship. Sounds like a great deal to me.

What I said was completely true. I never said the OP would not get a card once onboard in their cabin with the OBC amount.. I said the OBC from a TA will never be on the edocs from Carnival. TRUE

Perks from a TA are paid out of commission so they are not indicated on edocs. Sorry ... but true.
