Could somebody confirm what currency is used onboard the crown?

Somebody told me it british pounds, but I thought it was American dollars.

You don't use any money on board except in the casino. Everything else is charged to the credit card in US dollars.

Everything is charged to the credit card in US $ and the credit card company will convert it to your currency. The casino is the only place where cash is used but you can even put that on your credit card now and charge to your cabin account.

Princess ships are operated using US currency, tipping policies and food preferences. In addition, electrical outlets in the cabins are US 3-prong outlets and 110v current. There is a 110/230v outlet in the bathroom but it's for shavers only.

All charges are in American dollars. Don't let Princess convert it for you! Have them charge you in USD and have your credit card company make the conversion. You will get a much more favorable rate that way.
