kyee10 Posted March 7, 2011 #1 Share Posted March 7, 2011 Anyone know if RCI offers the same 3x-4x-5x odds scheme for the pass line and come bets as most Vegas casinos? I'm going on my first cruise next month on Allure of the Seas and trying to figure out how much I should bring to play with. Thanks in advance! Casino Player Posted March 8, 2011 #5 Share Posted March 8, 2011 Bring only as much as you are prepared to lose. HHHHHEEEEELLLLLLLLLLOOOOO bdklein: This should be whenever you go to a casino.
MrCo9 Posted March 9, 2011 #6 Share Posted March 9, 2011 Anytime you're being offered less than 3-4-5 times odds, you're better off with place bets instead of come bets with odds. The next time you're in Las Vegas check out Sam's Town or Main Street station, both offer 20 times odds.
bdklein Posted March 9, 2011 #7 Share Posted March 9, 2011 HHHHHEEEEELLLLLLLLLLOOOOO bdklein: This should be whenever you go to a casino. I was joking too. You aksed how much to bring, and the typical gambling mottot is "only bring as much as you are prepared to lose".

Best crap game in Vegas is @ Casino Royale...100X odds....Buy 4/10...no vig until its hits.....$2,500 max free odds. I believe Main Street Station allows $1.000 max free odds on its 20x odds game. Casino Player Posted March 10, 2011 #11 Share Posted March 10, 2011 Is this mathemtically true? HHHHHEEEEELLLLLLLLLLOOOOO bdklein: Even if you are playing for even odds or double odds you are better off with Pass Line and Come Bets with full odds. The reason is simple, those are the only bets that pay at true odds. Place bets don't pay true odds. The only Place bets you should make is on the six and eight. On the 4,5,9, and 10 the House takes out too big a percentage. The Pass Line bets with odds and Come bets with odds are the only bets in the casino that pay at true odds. The Pass Line bets with odds and Come bets with odds are the only bets in the casino that pay at true odds. While this is true, I still believe you're better off with a place bet, vs a come bet with single or double odds. A $15 place bet on the 5 or 9 will pay you $21, a $5 come bet with $10 odds only pays $20. Granted with a come bet 22% of the time you're going to win the $5, but 3/4s of those will be on a 7. With a come bet you have a 1 in 9 chance of losing the bet when a craps number rolls, something that does not happen to place bets. Plus, on a place bet, you get paid the 1st time a number rolls, with a come bet, it has to roll twice before you get paid. Gambling is about how much $$ you walk away with, not the % that the casino had over a bet.
Footloose Canuck Posted April 15, 2011 #13 Share Posted April 15, 2011 RCL allowed only single odds on my last cruise but if you bet $15 you can place $25 odds on the 6 and 8. I won enough to pay for the cruise. Money management is the secret. "You are never a winner unless you walk away a winner". "You never get ahead trying to get even". Play safe.
