Cruizer Diana Posted March 21, 2011 #7 Share Posted March 21, 2011 I ask the same three questions: 1) How was the food (including the Lido) 2) How was the entertainment, especially the Piano Bar 3) How were your room stewards? Thanks! Hope you had fun. Bill :D

Thanks! Hope you had fun. Bill :D 1. The food was very good - everywhere and for the first time we ate in a ship's restaurant - The Pinnacle. I highly recommend it. 2. We only went to the ship's entertainment. There was a piano bar, Barry from Boston played. Every time we walked by there were lots of people listening. 3. Our room steward was just fair. He didn't replace our water or diet coke, which I thought was weird. He cleaned up fine; however.

jobythebay Posted March 22, 2011 Author #13 Share Posted March 22, 2011 Thanks for your report. What did you order at the Pinnacle? Ok well we all got the lobster bisque for starters. I also got A Caesar salad. I got the lobster macaroni and cheese (The bread is so good that after the soup and salad I was really too full to eat all my entree.) Then our table for 6 got all the side dishes!! •Creamed Spinach •Sauteed Mushrooms •Sauteed Onions •Asparagus •Basmati Rice •Potatoes (Scallop, whipped, baked, shoestring) I managed to eat the baked Alaska for dessert:eek:
fatcat04 Posted March 22, 2011 #14 Share Posted March 22, 2011 Looking forwards to hearing about your cruise and I totally understand about the portions in the Pinnacle. Both times we have gone my steak has been "the size of a baseball mitt" to quote my accurate, indelicate, yet humorous husband :p and cooked to perfection. I hated not cleaning my plate. :( You won't leave hungry, that's for sure!! And that inside looked nice and roomy... never been in an inside and have always wondered how spacious they are and the storage/closet space they offer. I know it must vary but it seems HAL has some insides that are a pretty good size.
