csaeroach Posted March 30, 2011 #1 Share Posted March 30, 2011 Hello We just returned from the Carnival Valor and we stayed in cabin 2477. I tried to find pics of this cabin before we left and could not, so thought I would share the pics I took of the cabin. We really enjoyed the size of this cabin, but it is very noisy. A lot of vibrations so if your a light sleeper this cabin would not be for you. I am not sure what exactly was underneath us but a hammering sound against medal would start very early in the morning and always wake us up. Every time we went into and out of port, a lot of noise and cabin just shook like crazy. It is to bad this cabin has a lot of noise as the size of it is just perfect and we did really enjoy the extra space, and no shortage of space for hanging clothes. Probably the most cabinet space we have ever had in any size cabin we have stayed in the past, even larger then balconies. Hope this help others who may have this cabin booked or thinking on booking it.
veangel305r Posted July 26, 2011 #2 Share Posted July 26, 2011 I was planning a cruise for my mother for the first time on the Valor and was wondering if that 2477 corner aft ov was bigger than the rooms surrounding it. You say it is bigger but it is also very noisy. Are the rooms surrounding it also noisy? Thank you for this post it really helps me make a decision but since I have never been on a cruise before I am still not sure what room to select for my mother who is also a first time cruiser. I will be sending her off on a surprise cruise with a friend to the western carribean, any suggestions on rooms? Trying to get a main aft ov room but not much selections are available. Thanks HAPPY CRUISING :)
firefly333 Posted July 26, 2011 #3 Share Posted July 26, 2011 I had a friend who had that corresponding cabin on Triumph and he got his TA to get him credit after the cruise he thought it was so bad. I was aft facing the cruise before and hated the vibration. Thought it was just Triumph issues. If Id been paying a high fare I would have been upset, more so. I thought the vibration in the aft on Triumph was pretty awful. Its not that particular cabin, the aft of all ships just vibrates. I also did the bottom deck last inside and we actually had knocking against our ceiling and back wall... not just the floor vibration we had on Main deck.
