We are leaving for our second cruise on May 7th. Last time we just got the basic least expensive cabin we could find. This time we brough the whole crew & spent a little more. Since we are still really new to this I'm digging for information.

My husband & I in a Category 8A #6216 & our kids (4 in each cabin) a Category 6B #2234 & 2230. Does anyone have any information about our views? Are these good locations? Anyone have pictures? Will there be enough room for 4?

Have learned so much here & appreciate everyones help!!

cruisedeckplans.com will have sizes of cabins.

OVs are large, 220 s.f., so this was a good choice for 4 people.

They will have to be organized as 4 grown people in a room is going to be crowded, no matter what.

Everyone will have to come to your cabin to sit out on the balcony and visit, sounds great to me.

Your cabin, 6216, is above the show lounge so you may get some noise until the shows are over for the night.

2230 and 2234 are connecting cabins... nice for them. and are below the show lounge so they may have the same noise issues.

Fortunatley, most of the shows end around midnight or so...

shouldn't be too much of a distraction.

You will love having a balcony and might not want to go back to any other cabin. So nice to sit out there in the morning watching the water and feeling the breeze. It also makes the cabin feel a little bigger. Hope you enjoy your cruise and have a great time down here.

You can also try cruiselinerrooms dot com. They have real pictures of the rooms that cruisers have posted. They don't have those exact rooms, but there are enough pictures there to see the layout from rooms close by.

Lots of pictures from a Triumph cruise here:

We had a balcony - different deck - but most are the same size and similar layout.

I don't think there is much of a chance of fitting 10 people on a standard balcony with any degree of comfort. Might have to run shifts with some waiting inside for their turn.

As others said, it is going to be crowded with 4 to a cabin. However, they won't be spending a lot of time in the cabin. You didn't mention their ages. Are they young couples with children or teenagers or all young adults? One good suggestion that is especially useful for 4 to a cabin is the over the door shoe holder. The pockets for shoes work well for holding all kinds of things that would otherwise be lying all over the cabin. There isn't much counter space in the bathroom. I would definitely recommend one of these for each of the kids' cabins.

The Triumph is one of my favorite ships. We sailed on her 3 times in 2010 and will definitely sail on her again in the future. You'll love your balcony! It will be a little breezy, so if you have long hair, don't forget the scrunchies or rubber bands! ENJOY!

I didn't see a way to edit my post, but I put an extra "r" in my recommendation...

It should be cruiselinerooms dot com. Oops.
