dsykes2 Posted April 7, 2011 #1 Share Posted April 7, 2011 Hello all, Myself and my partner are booked on a cruise in September, one of his friends who was going with us and booked a room solo, has ran into some money issues! She has booked a balcony room on Lido deck just as we have, but she called to ask if she can downgrade to a interior cabin, she was advsied this would result in a 500$ fee? Is that correct? She has the balance paid in full for the cruise, but just needs to try to save some, any suggestions? I figured with it being this far out, she would be able to just change and get the difference credited back or atleast get OBC for the difference. Thanks a bunch! firefly333 Posted April 7, 2011 #2 Share Posted April 7, 2011 If the friend is booked ES, the answer is no. It would have to be cancelled and rebooked and all that other stuff. Not sure about the $500 ... is this the nonrefundable deposit?? If you are before final payment and not ES, should not be a issue. If you booked ES, almost every change is a huge issue. dsykes2 Posted April 7, 2011 Author #3 Share Posted April 7, 2011 She did indeed book early saver along with with us!! I think the 500$ is what we would have to pay for a deposit, but we went ahead and paid as well as her!! Thanks so much!!
Flyguy35 Posted April 7, 2011 #4 Share Posted April 7, 2011 In ES the deposit is non refundable. There is a $50 processing fee but the remain $450 can be used to book another cruise but not on the same sail date and ship as the orginally booked.
