4kidsliketocruise Posted April 13, 2011 #1 Share Posted April 13, 2011 Hey there- I would love to hear how people who flew into Orlando got to the port. There are 4 adults that will be traveling on April 24th to cruise on the Freedom. I would prefer not to use the RC transportation for I think it's a little too much $$$. So any advice would be greatly appreciated!!

Colexis Mom Posted April 13, 2011 #3 Share Posted April 13, 2011 We've done a one way car rental. Used Budget on the way down, and Avis on the way back. Cost was about $45.
PattyG12 Posted April 13, 2011 #4 Share Posted April 13, 2011 We used budget for two 1-way rentals. It was so easy and probably the cheapest for 4 of us to get back and forth from the port
Rare Rewind Posted April 13, 2011 #5 Share Posted April 13, 2011 Check out Costco Travel's website, click on cars, Avis, and look at the 25% offer with the red car in the picture. It will give you a discount code and a coupon code and you don't need a Costco membership to get the codes. I'm looking at doing this just for two of us... we will end up paying about $40 more than using shuttles, but we have the car to do what we want without being on someone else's time line. If you have 3 or more people, a rental car is cheaper from the start. You will be picking up from MCO and dropping off at P3F.

Eng23 Posted April 13, 2011 #8 Share Posted April 13, 2011 Doing the one way car rental seems to be a very popular option. From what I have seen the rental rates are reasonable and usually less than hiring a limo or shuttle service.

AandBmom Posted April 16, 2011 #13 Share Posted April 16, 2011 We rented a van through Dollar rental car from MCO to Port (did a couple days at Disney in between). For the return to the airport though the car rental route didn't work out to be cheaper so we went with a shuttle through cruisexpress. They were fabulous and the best price we found at $20pp.
