PROCRUISE Posted April 14, 2011 #1 Share Posted April 14, 2011 Just a word to the wise. After filing a police report with the Hollywood, Florida Police Dept regarding a theft from our room at this hotel on 3/20/11, we were advised that this is certainly not the first report they've ever had with regards to this hotel. When we contacted the hotel manager LeAnn Paul, SIMPLY to advise her of the situation and NOT seeking anything, we were told that people simply make up these stories to try and get something and that the hotel is NOT responsible. Just so you know.
OVgirl Posted April 14, 2011 #2 Share Posted April 14, 2011 Is this the one on Stirling? I will often treat the luggage in our hotel room the same as on a flight or passed off at the ship. Keep everything in the suitcases and keep them locked when you leave the room. Such a big hassle if you have to go to the police station to fill out a report. And then there is nothing they can do anyways. Sorry that you had this experience on your vacation.

Insurance is covering some of the cost but not the emotional loss of the ring that his now deceased mother gave to my friend when he safely returned from VietNam. We can get over the loss but not our disbelief over the nasty reaction of the manger at this hotel.:(
