Does anyone know what the small space next to cabin 1018 on the main deck is? It doesn't look like a work space, but I am not sure. I am thinking of that cabin, but I could also choose 1024 0r 1028 too. They are J cat. so I think they are the large ones

I looks a like it might be storage of some kind, but since it appears to have doors on both ends it could be just a passage to the interior area.

It's probably a crew corridor. We had one of those behind our interior cabin on Main deck on Eurodam a few weeks ago. BTW, the interiors on Main deck are great cabins, very large and spacious - you made a good choice.

We have been thinking about a Cat. J on main deck, our concern is the traffic after the shows or activities in the lounge. Can you hear much noise? We have walked down the corridor and wondered if we were bothering anyone, even though we were not making any noise ourselves?

I'm booking someone with physical limitations and needs to know if the headboard is on the right or left as you walk in the room.

This is an educated guess based on staying in several different Main Deck cabins on several Vista/Signature ships---but not this one.

In every case, the bed was tucked in an alcove, unless it was a connecting cabin; this cabin is not connecting.

As you enter the cabin, the bathroom will be to one side, and the couch to the other. The desk is against the wall where the couch comes to an end. The bed is tucked behind the bathroom, with the closets across from the foot of the bed, next to the other end of the desk. I found the aisles along the bed to be narrow.

In a connecting cabin, the bed is directly opposite the door as you enter. The aisle between the side and the closets is wide as there is room for both the nightstand, and for the closet door to open.

I hope this helps answer your question.

Maybe sometimes.

If tours meet in the showlounge, then the exit as a group on port side, so that can produce noise. It also makes it difficult to return to your cabin from further aft. Starboard doesn't have that problem as people aren't arriving all at the same time.

At night, yes, people do exit the show lounge on that level and walk aft. Again, they may make some noise for a few minutes, but that is over quickly.

On port side, especially closer to the forward elevator area, I would be more concerned with noise from the Casino and Northern Lights coming down from above. Starboard, especially closer to mid-ship, does not have this problem.
