Embarking in Copenhagen?

Could someone please tell me if there is a cruise terminal in Copenhagen and whether there is a long walk from where you deposit your baggage to the registration area? Or, does your transportation take you to the gangway?

Depends on the terminal

We docked at Langeliene & the building was right there at the other terminal (Frihavn I think) there is a short walk from the baggage area to inside the building

We disembarked there so not exactly sure where you enter

My memory is the same as Lyn's but we were on the same cruise.

In May 2001 (on Renaissance) we were in a totally different port. I'm not sure if there is more than one port in CPH, but I suspect there is.

They certainly looked different!

The last time we embarked there was in 1985 when we visited the Baltic on "Royal Viking Star." Those were the days, when luxury cruising was quite different in many respects to what it is today. I cannot remember how we boarded then but the dock was close to the Mermaid Statue.

Thanks for the responses. David.

I think you are right Lyn. The best one is Langeliene as it is within walking distance to the city (nice flat & paved all the way) and a few points of interests between the port and city like the Little Mermaid. Take a city map with you and ir is easy.
