tasmith09 Posted April 23, 2011 #1 Share Posted April 23, 2011 Do they serve drinks in a coconut at Nachi Cocom?? I'm talking about a drink in a coconut, not coconut flavored drinks. Cozumel is our last stop so if they don't serve them there, I want to make sure to get one at a previous port. We go to Grand Cayman, Belize, and Isla Roatan as well. Where should I be sure to make some time to stop and buy one? Also, are these usually alcoholic or virgin, or can you order them either way? Hubby and I drink on occasion, but my mom does not and wants a coconut drink as well. Lastly, is it possible to take the coconut back on the ship and save the it as a souvenir, or do they go bad and need thrown out?

I can't answer your question about where to get a drink in a coconut, but I would imagine that you can order the drink to be non-alcoholic. And, no, I doubt you would be allowed to bring it on the ship - yes it can go bad and also, you probably cannot bring it back into the US because it is a fruit. med2cruise Posted April 23, 2011 #6 Share Posted April 23, 2011 I don't remember seeing coconuts at Nachi (some of us don't remember much after Nachi). But the ship will do a non-alcoholic drink in the monkeyhead. Have a great time!

okwriter Posted April 23, 2011 #8 Share Posted April 23, 2011 You can order a drink in a coconut head on the ship. I'm thinking agriculture laws would forbid you from bringing an actual coconut on board. But maybe not. ?
JennLuvs2Cruise Posted April 23, 2011 #9 Share Posted April 23, 2011 A monkey head is a coconut head that is carved out & has cute designs on the outside & they put your drink (alcoholic or non) inside :)
