boxztrs Posted April 26, 2011 #1 Share Posted April 26, 2011 Has anyone done a group day trip from Barcelona to Cadaques for the Salvador Dali museum? If so, who did you use?
edunava Posted April 26, 2011 #2 Share Posted April 26, 2011 Hello from Barcelona. I think it's a bit complicated to get up to the Dalí Museum in Cadaqués public transport. Maybe this link can help: http://www.salvador-dali.org/museus/en_index.html Greetings.
riffatsea Posted April 26, 2011 #3 Share Posted April 26, 2011 The group tours go to the Dali Museum in Figueres, not Cadaques. I think his house is there but not the museum. You can easily take the train from Barcelona yourself to Figueres but IF you are only there for one day then I would spend it IN Barcelona. The train ride is about 2hr. TessM Posted April 26, 2011 #5 Share Posted April 26, 2011 Has anyone done a group day trip from Barcelona to Cadaques for the Salvador Dali museum? If so, who did you use? Well, technically, I haven't done the trip yet. But, I've got the trip scheduled. It's a day trip to both Figueres and Cadaques. Figueres is where the Dali museum is (and where he is buried) and Cadaques is where he lived - which is now also a museum. Since I haven't taken the trip yet, I'm not sure it's OK to mention the company. --I think there's a rule on the CC boards prohibiting recommending tours you haven't been on. But you can find it if you do a google search for: barcelona day trip figueres and cadaques Important item though...This tour doesn't go to Cadaques in the summer (between July 1- Sept 15th) they substitute Pubol Castle. I don't know of any tours that just do Cadaques. But, if you're looking for a day of Dali (which is also my interest) this looks like a good bet. Good luck.
