the distance from the Fort Lauderdale airport to the port of Miami and the distance from the Miami airport to the port. I'm looking at plane fares for both airports.

use FLL. The ride is about a half hour. We have done both to sail out of Miami, the Miami airport after a cruise is total chaos. Will never do it again.

It's about 27 miles from Ft Lauderdale and around 10 miles from Miami. There is a shuttle service that charges $15 from Miami International Airport and $85 from Ft Lauderdale.

MIA is about 10 - 12 minutes to the port. cab is a flat $24. FLL to the port is between 45 minutes and an hour. If airfare is close to the same use MIA, if it is at least $50 pp cheaper use FLL. FLL is a circus on weekends after cruises. MIA is not as bad, though it is still busy. With either airport print your boarding passes on the ship and use a porter to check your bags to avoid the lines.

can that company be a round trip? Seems awful cheap for a FLL to MIA.

when looking into fares-- make sure the savings is worth the added expense of a round trip transfer ride.- We saved over 700 for 7 adults (after paying for our white stretch limo) so it was well worth it

We have used SAS for transportation to a downtom Miami hotel day before cruise and were picked up at ship and taken back to Ft. Lauderdale Airport both in a very timely manner. There were 2 of us at $15.00 each both ways.

I just checked the SAS website and they have a summer special from June through end of September, price is 11.00 pp
