How I miss the Southern Caribbean!!! This Cruise was the best I have ever taken. The first question my husband asked me was “how can we ever outdo this vacation.”

The Victory is beautiful boat, the PORTS are terrific. I will review my notes and try to POST as much information as POSSIBLE. I will also try to answer any questions you may have.

REMEMBER this was my 5 Cruise, but my first in the Southern Caribbean.

I can't give you their names (my notes are not that detailed). Plus on Wednesday two new comedians came aboard. I can tell you this, each one did a great job and the adult only shows are a bit edgy to say the least.

Hello, thank you for answering our question. I would like to know, who the comedians and piano players were. Thank you, John

I writing this thread to try to answer all the questions I had and to tell you things I wish I would have known prior too.

Easter Saturday –

Arrived in Puerto Rico very small airport

Things to know:

The Skycaps will be positioned thought-out baggage claim area. The charge is $1 per bag…best money spend you are escorted directly to a taxi no wait. This was a big deal.

Arrived at the San Juan Marriott Resort & Stellaris Casino – free rum punch and warm towels offered as you approached the front desk. The Hotel is on the beach which has the best surf (not to big or to small). Happy hours at the beach bar 4pm – 6pm. Commercial and Local Restaurants within walking distant. Great place to wash off jetlag.

Easter Sunday-

Arrived at the Pier 4 at approximately 11:30 check in bags, by Noon on the ship having lunch our room was not available until 2:30pm.

1pm – disembarked

Things to know - the pier is in Old San Juan walking distance from just about everything. We walked to the Fort (only 15-20 minute walk) and flew kites with the locals.

Sunday Dinner Only- Very casual attire and open seating

Monday –

Things to Know – The buffet is a mad house no matter what time you go. Eat breakfast in the Pacific Dining Room. You are in and out with-in 30 to 40 minutes (best keep secret on the ship).

St Thomas - Beautiful Island the taxi situation is a little unnerving. First thing you should know is that they charge per person. Please arrive at the taxi station early. All taxi’s are like airport shuttles they load about 10 to 15 people in and drop you off on the way. I tried to get a private taxi’s and was told that I would have to pay for each vacant seat.

Coral World and Coki Beach – Great Combo but was a little pricey. We choose not to take the ship Snuba excursion and do it on our own even though it cost more. It was our 1st time and did want to feel rushed.

Tuesday – Day at Sea

Will continue at a later date

Things to know:

Easter Sunday-

Arrived at the Pier 4 at approximately 11:30 check in bags,

by Noon on the ship having lunch -our cabin was not available until 2:30pm.

It has been my past experience that 2:30 is the time they quote

in order to make sure that absolutely NO-one will be disappointed.

We boarded at Barbados on April 13th. and were told the same thing. 2:30!

Yours Skeptically got the wife up onto Lido in a comfortable spot with a refreshing drink -and our carry-on's

and then I went down to Deck 2 to check out the situation re. our cabin.

It was not even 12:45 p.m. and our cabin was way-ready!

We boarded again in San Juan ten days later, April 24th.

and went straightaway to our cabin at about the same time of day

and guess what? -no problem. Cabin was ready! :)

.........................

Why do you think they hustle you out of there by 0830 hrs. on disembarkation days??

So the cabin steward can start doing his 20-22 cabins in clearly enough time. ;)

So go check on your cabin availablity anytime from 12 Noon onwards.

Chances are purty darned good it'll be ready and waiting for you.
