ULCajunCruiser Posted June 5, 2011 #26 Share Posted June 5, 2011 I've seen 2 price drops in a year of looking, both in the last month. However I was told both times it was coded as "new bookings only" and I got zilch!!!
nelblu Posted June 5, 2011 #27 Share Posted June 5, 2011 At a minimum I check twice a day and hope to get lucky. I got a good deal on the Feb. '12 Adventure cruise, but you never know.
Canadian Tyler Posted June 6, 2011 #28 Share Posted June 6, 2011 I check daily as well. On our last cruise (Serenade) we got a $260 price drop two days before we left. Was a nice little surprise. Now I'm hooked on checking daily. I can't believe when I look back and see how much I paid for cruises before I knew all the tricks thanks to Cruise Critic! Canadian Tyler Posted June 6, 2011 #30 Share Posted June 6, 2011 I booked before the rule change in 2010, so I got on board credit.
buddy11 Posted June 8, 2011 #31 Share Posted June 8, 2011 I booked my cruise in Ireland directly with Royal Caribbean, if the price drops more than once will they match the price? I understood that they will only match the price once.
deltatango Posted June 8, 2011 #32 Share Posted June 8, 2011 I booked my cruise in the UK through Readers Offers and my sister in law booked the same cruise and got about what equates to £300 PP cheaper 3 weeks later in a cabin upgrade, they booked with Gills, after discussions with RO and RC could not get a upgrade or OBC, so my questions is if I had booked direct with RC would I have been able to gain from by an upgrade or reduction when prices fell like you do in the USA ? Yes In the UK honoring proce drops, or getting up grades when porces fallis at the discretion of the TA is you used one. YOu can get it if you book direct. It is one reason why we book direct.
