How far is airport to POM?

How far is it? Can anyone recommend a hotel where we can stay near port? Or any hotel with free transfer to port?

Distance is about 8 miles or about 15 minutes by car.

 

There are a variety of hotels near the POM.

 

One of them is the Intercontinental Hotel which is located about 5 or so minutes from the Port and is just across the bridge that takes you there. This is the Holiday Inn at Bayside just a couple of minutes further from the port and may others not too much further away.

None of the downtown Miami hotels close to POM offer free shuttels from MIA or to POM. A taxi from MIA to most downtown hotels will cost about $25-26+tip; to get to POM the next day a taxi will cost $10-12+tip.

 

A budget motel near MIA that offers free airport shuttle service and free shuttles to POM is the La Quinta East; reviews are mixed, but it seems to be good enough for lots of cruisers.
