Investigation Update on the Sea Princess

 

Cruise Line: Princess Cruises

Cruise Ship: Sea Princess

Voyage Dates: 05/20 - 30/2011

Number of passengers who have reported being ill during the voyage out of total number of passengers onboard: 113 of 2053 (5.5%)

Number of ill crew who have reported being ill during the voyage out of total number of crew onboard: 12 of 838 (1.4%)

Predominant symptoms: vomiting, diarrhea

I would guess the Sea Princess is in Alaska??????? Happens every year it seems.

It was the second cruise of the season,

not a large percent being sick.

See what happens the current

cruise..left 5-30 to 6-9. Yes, it's doing Alaska from SF.

 

This happens on ships, sorry to say most of the time.

Get a large group of people together...Someone comes on sick.

Rest is history...Take precautions...Wash hands OFTEN!

We were on that cruise. I thought Princess did a very good job handling the situation. It sure did slow down the Horizon court buffet but that's a small price to pay to stay healthy. BTW: All in all, very good cruise.

Wow! DS was a crew member who got off the ship on 5/20. His first few days home he felt a little less than 100%. Sounds like he just dodged a bullet. Here's hoping for everyone's good health.
