OBC & other percs from TA,when do they show up on RCI website?

Recommended Posts

We have received some OBC, dining certificates, and spa certificate from our online TA. Final payment is due in a few days. When I check my reservation on RIC website, no mention is made of any of these credits. Will they show up after Final payment is made?

She isn't talking about discounting; she is asking about obc and dining/spa vouchers, which is allowed. A TA that discounts off the fare itself is what can get a TA in trouble, but perks are allowed.

If the perk is from a TA, it never shows up on RCI invoices. You have to get them in writing from the TA.

I dont get the idea perks are allowed so much as if RCL doesnt know about them, then they wouldnt say anything.

Any perks that have value to me are a round about way of discounting.

OP when Iv gotten OBC from a TA, there will be a card in your cabin telling you who it is from and the amount.

We received spa and dining certificates via email from our travel agent. You make a copy and take them with you to present onboard. You can't pre-book for either the spa or dining venue, but can book onboard. (At least that's what the certificates for the promotion we got say.) Hope this helps.

We booked our last cruise with an online agency during the WOW sale last Fall. Half of the bonuses/incentives were from the cruiseline, and the other half from the agency. Our sales receipt and itinerary from the agency listed all of the bonuses, obc and incentive, but the itinerary and invoice from Royal, only show what we were getting from the cruiseline. We took copies of all the invoices onboard, and the agency mailed us a copy of the free specialty dining certificate, which we presented to the Hostess at Chops when we made the reservation. We keep hold of it until the night we went to dinner. Our OBC from the cruiseline showed up late afternoon on the second day of the cruise.

YOu need to get the Spa/Dining certificates from the TA. Print them out and bring them with you as you WILL need them.

OBC will just show up on the cruise; however, bring a document showing it in case it doesn't show up.

Usually in your acount after the first night at sea. That is when they download information to the ship from Miami. If the ship has interactive TV's you will see it there.
