Really not very much........Pinnacle is not all that it is cracked up to be....a free cruise when you turn Pinnacle and a badge...

At 14 days a year,it will take me 23 more years....:eek::eek:

I've been told that, as of Mr. Fain's Party which was held on November 11, there are currently 150 PC Members.

According to Betsy O'Rourke's November 11, 2011 email, here are the additional benefits that PC Members will receive...........

Dear ..................

On more than one occasion in the past months since we launched the Pinnacle Club, I have been asked why the Gold SeaPass card is for Suites only. I am pleased to announce that after careful analysis and consideration, for cruises beginning on or after November 19th, Pinnacle Club members will receive Gold SeaPass cards - even those of you not sailing in a Suite. With this Gold SeaPass card you will now enjoy a few more benefits, including:

  • Priority tender on select cruises
  • VIP pool deck seating where available
  • Private seating for breakfast and lunch in specialty restaurants on Voyager and Freedom class ships
  • Mattel board games available to order from the Concierge
  • Access to Labadee Cabanas+
  • Personalized Port & Shopping Guide referrals
  • Complimentary luggage valet and onboard checking service with select airlines*
  • Personalized departure escort when visiting our ports-of-call**
  • Complimentary pressing service on formal night***

I hope you share my enthusiasm for this change. I look forward to seeing you onboard again soon. Happy sailing!

Warm regards,

Betsy O'Rourke

* Only ship fees are waived - this is available in select port and with select airline carriers .

**Available for tendering ports only. Guests will be escorted off the ship only. This isn't available all the time and up to the discretion of the concierge.

***Only Formal Wear outfit will be pressed for Formal night only.

+ Rental Fee applies

I knew that.......its basically suite perks.......in fact, their seapass cards say SUITE on them......nothing that great IMHO or shall I say nothing worth all that $$$ spent to reach Pinnacle.

Dont get me wrong...............I think its great some are Pinnacle, but its nothing all that special to me.....I could think of several better perks......

Absolutely agree. I think having the SeaPass cards the same color as Suite Guests is not a good idea. If they want PC Members to be recognized for their C&A level it should have definitely been a different color.

I'm with you on there being better perks.........like maybe better discounts.

How about Purple Pinnacle?

And if you are Pinnacle and in a suite..... gold and purple?

I figure we'll be Pinnacle in maybe 3 years.:)

A better way of going about this whole Pinnacle Club status would have been to do something like American Express did with the Amex Black Card. The Amex Black Card has certain "prequalifications" - but information about the benefits are only made available to those that actually enjoy them - which keeps a certain exclusivity about them.

Pinnacle needs to be lowered to 500 credits. RCL will never add extra benefits that cost them $$ for 150 people since the cost will not give them the benefit revenue wise they are looking for - "cost benefit analysis."

Don't some ships allow D+ to eat in specialty restaurants as extra seating in the Windjammer for breakfast and lunch anways?

LOL..........Then instead of PC Members it would be PP Members.:D Reminds me too much of The Easter Bunny!!

I thought that was only for Suite guests on the Voyager class ships and larger. :)

That was my understanding.

On Freedom,we(DP) were allowed to eat in Chops, while the suite pax ate in Portofino.

Instead of lowering Pinnacle to 500.maybe have a level that would attainable to most in between.............with the way it is now, some may cruise other lines figuring they have peaking out with RCCL>
