e tickets

First time with Celebrity, so apologies if there is an obvious answer somewhere.

I'm in the UK, and I booked direct with Celebrity by telephone. It's about 5 weeks until we embark, I've paid in full, and completed the online check-in. I can't see anywhere to request luggage tags, but it does say that I need to have my cruise docs available. I rquested e tickets, but nothing has arrived by email yet. Is that just because they don't usually email them out this far out? Or should I start wondering where the ticket booklet is and give Celebrity a call?

Hoping those with a few Celebrity cruises under their belts can offer the benefit of their experiences.

Many thanks

Welcome to Celebrity -- they do not send your documents by e-mail, you will need to go to the website to check in for your cruise and print your Xpress Pass. It's three or four pages long. Be sure to sign it prior to arriving at the pier. There is also a much longer document, called by some the Ticket Booklet, or the Contract. It's around 35 pages long. There is no need to print it out prior to the cruise, unless you have arranged for any transfers from Celebrity, or have a pre- or post-cruise excursion with Celebrity, in which case you will need the vouchers to show that you are participating in those. There is a place on the website to request luggage tags, but don't worry if they don't arrive in time. Just take the Xpress pass to the pier with you and the luggage porters will create luggage tags for you based on the information on the Xpress pass.

Hi

Go to the Online checkin section and if you have completed it all there should be a link to order bag tags - it is on the same page as the picture of the railings.

Or you can just call the X service team and they can order them for you.

The only thing that could be holding it up is if you booked a guarantee room and the room number has not been allocated yet; as of course they cannot print bag tags if they don't know what room to send the bags to;)

You can request luggage tags from Celebrity if you want. Go to My Celebrity and there is a section that says Request Luggage Tags. But you better do it today so they have time to send them to you, although they are pretty quick. Have a great cruise.

Thank you all! Printed out my Xpress pass, but I couldn't see a ticket booklet or a link to luggage tags on the page with the railings (but thank you for desribing the page so clearly!). So I phone Celebrity...my personal cruise specialist had left a voicemail message saying he's left the company. Fortunately another customer service rep confirmed that my records still showed the obc he'd promised me.

And apparently the system has just requested a ticket booklet for me, and the rep is goign to make sure it's emailed to me (but can i phone middle of next week if it doesn't arive ;)). Then, he says, the link to luggage tags will magically appear on the page with the railings.

Panic almost over, then I can relax, order some ebooks, and look forward to the cruise.

Speaking of Luggage Tags. They arrived and say to put on your luggage before leaving home. Do most of you do that or do you wait until arriving at the pier. I suppose in the case of lost luggage it's better to have it on the luggage for the whole trip??

Because I could be wrong, however, everything on X website says, North American Guest will be mailed by US Postal Service their luggage tags. I'm assuming this means if you are outside of North America you must wait til you get to the ship and have them put on by the baggage handlers. I will query my UK friends and see how they get theirs.~ Ric

We always put them on at home no matter if driving or flying. ~ Ric
