Is it cheaper to buy your drinks onboard or buy a bar credit 4 drink coupons for $23.00? How does the bar credit work?

drinks are the same price, the savings is the 15% tip isnt added on.

 

they are good for $5.75 so if you order a more expensive drink you are usually charged the difference.

I wouldn't buy them. They only save you a few cents so no reason to pre-purchase them.

If you are trying to budget your money it might not be a bad idea to purchase them. Otherwise just buy the drinks on board. Happy Cruizin!

I buy them ahead of time so there won't be any Surprises when we pay the final bill. That way, they are prepaid and If I do want something more expensive, then I don't feel bad about getting it and putting it on my sail n sign card.

I totally disagree with you (again). There is good reason to pre-purcahse coupons. You can buy coupons throughout the previous months (it is call managing your budget) before you sail and then you do not have the bigger expense after your cruise.

or you can purchase gift certificates and have them applied directly to your S and S account... this worked out well for me!
