Rare Essiesmom Posted June 16, 2011 #2 Share Posted June 16, 2011 I assume that your cruise ends in Rome? If so, it actually ends in Civitavecchia, 90 min from Rome. HAL will try to have everyone off the ship by 9:30. EM

Your only risk is if disembarkation is held up for some reason. Most taxis know this. The ship is usually cleared on time though.:)
NMLady Posted June 17, 2011 #4 Share Posted June 17, 2011 Before you can take a taxi from Rome to the airport, you have to get from the port to Rome. That is about a 90 minute ride. If you don't have too much luggage to schlep you could take a taxi from the port to the train station and then take the train to Rome and take a taxi from the Rome train station to the airport. Otherwise you might want to think about using HAL's transfer bus from port to airport. Pricey but convenient.

It took 45 minutes. Very easily done and no need to go to Rome first. That wouldn't make any sense unless you were sightseeing in Rome before taking your flight home.
