Casino Slots Money or SeaPass

Recommended Posts

Question for you? This is my first time on RC and wanting to know if the slots take money or just your SeaPass? Thanks :)

I don't think any of the machines take a sea pass card.

If you use your sea pass card at the cashier station to get cash you are charged a 1.5 or 2 % charge.

This started several years ago when people were putting cash withdrawer on their Royal Caribbean credit card to get double points while on the cruise.

I'd be cautious about gambling on my SeaPass card since it's so easy to lose track of what you've lost while you are in the casino.

Last October on the ExOS, they did have a thing on the slot machine where you put your SeaPass card in and collected points or something...sorry I can't be more specific but I'm not a big enough gambler to have really paid attention.

I prefer to bring cash to the casino so that I know and control how much I'm losing in a session!!

Bon voyage!

On the RCI ships, you use your Sea Pass like you would a 'Players Card' for them to track your play for points. You would also show your Sea Pass at the tables to be rated. The machines all take cash and depending on the ship or machine give/take the TITO slips.

As far as any newer machines, some ships have some. I know when we were on Freedom in April, they had that big Sex in the City machine. They usually have a wide variety of machines, just not as many as actual casinos.

Best of Luck!

I am just wondering, its been many years since I have been on RCCL, switching it up and going on Explorer in Sept. Can you use your sea pass to gamble? On Carnival you can use it in the slots to get money at no cost $100 at a time, but if you use the cage or the tables they charge 3%. Thanks

You need cash for machines but the sea pass can go in machine to keep points. If you can so many points you can cruise for free. You have to tell the guys at the table to keep track to or you don't get the points. I do know that it requires a high amount of points. Talk to gaming people before you start to gamble. It is under their thing for free cabins. It is now 3% for cash withdrawls on your seapass card. Limit on seapass card is something like $2000.00/day. You better be able to handle it on your CC or you will be denied.
