JudyA. Posted June 28, 2011 #1 Share Posted June 28, 2011 I have an affection for the R1, it was the first cruise ship I was ever on. I know the Regatta used to be a Renaissance ship. Did it used to be the R1 or the R8? I think I've read this information in the past but cannot now recall. Thanks Judy

Mura Posted June 29, 2011 #9 Share Posted June 29, 2011 Thanks for answering my question about just where the R8 is. I never liked the R6-R8 as much as their older sisters because of the lack of PHs as Jan mentions. I had thought it was to expand the capacity, but it really only allowed a few more passengers -- not enough to make it worth it in my eyes, and according to THEIR passenger capacity quotes. But that's neither here nor there.

JudyA. Posted June 29, 2011 Author #11 Share Posted June 29, 2011 Thanks guys! I am going to copy & print that list. I love these "small" ships and would prefer to be on them no matter what the cruiseline.
