bibbysnow Posted June 29, 2011 #1 Share Posted June 29, 2011 Could someone tell me about the casino on Explorer of the Seas? I was wondering what type of slots that they have and do they have cash tickets or money when you "cash out" of the machine.
cb at sea Posted July 2, 2011 #2 Share Posted July 2, 2011 They have all kinds and denominations of slots. Most nowadays are ticket out (and in!) but you can put cash in/ticket out, too. On a few slots, I've had it spit out change if the balance was under $1. I actually prefer ticket machines...if you aren't winning, and want to try a different machine, you don't have to mess with dirty change!
jsmeeker Posted July 2, 2011 #3 Share Posted July 2, 2011 I'm surprised to hear that some ship casinos still have coin droppers. Or even machines that accept coins. The first time I encountered TITO, I was a little surprised. It has been a few years since I was in a casino in Las Vegas. They really cutover pretty quick. At first, I missed the coins. But not for long. Now I can't imagine dealing with a coin dropper.
MagicMike Posted July 3, 2011 #4 Share Posted July 3, 2011 Just got back on 6/24, The Explorer does not have ticket machines, payouts are in coins or if over a certain amount, payed by an attendant.

SuiteLady Posted July 4, 2011 #6 Share Posted July 4, 2011 Yep...last year when we were on EOS they had the buckets and it was dealing with change....had machines of all denominations. I thought it seemed a bit crowded and aisle were narrow! I think it would be very difficult for someone with a wheelchair/ walker to manuver around in there...IMO

It doesn't look like it's going to be much fun on my upcoming cruise.
