Formal nights Zuiderdam Nov 14, 2011

We are new to HAL. Previously Celebrity Alaska and two times Europe. We enjoy formal nights and getting dressed up. We are on Panama Canal partial transit 11 nights Nov 14. Will I be overdressed in my tuxedo? What are the formal nights for this cruise? I am beginning my shore excursion and Pinnacle Grill planning. Thanks.

You really can't be overdressed wearing a tuxedo on a formal night.

There may not be a high percentage of men wearing a tux/dinner jacket, though. The HAL dress code for men also allows for a dark suit or a sport jacket w/tie.

We did the partial Panama Canal cruise on the Zuiderdam a couple lof years ago -- then it was just 10 days.

There were 3 formal nights.

DH wore his tuxedo.

GASDOC, I will be wearing mine. We've been on numerous HAL cruises and about 60% will wear a tuxedos.
