Sorry for the silly question but what do you mean "rotatation". Will Capt Johnny not be the Capt in March 2014? I was really looking forward to saying hello, haven't sailed with him since 2007.

Captains usually do a 10 week on, 10 week off "rotation". This can vary by a week or so. Look at the calendar and see what you come up with. (It is subject to change.)

Karen, somone on our roll call got a response back from the Concierge about who the Captain would be on our October 10th cruise on Serenade. This is his reply.........

 

My name is Rami and I will be your concierge and the Captain will be Karine Janson from Sweden.

Was Captain Karin just doing a short rotation on Majesty as is Captain Rune who just returned to Serenade?

 

Patti, I have checked both ends of the horses mouth and Rami is misinformed. Your master will be Capt Rune.

Who's going to replace Capt James on Jewel (its the Argentinian Stf Cpt from FR), who's going to relieve Capt Karin on Majesty, who's going to relieve Capt Loy on Explorer? And Capt Homes was only on FR for 1 month????

Using a 10 week rotation and assuming a Sunday change (when Allure docks at PE), I would say yes. Although Captain TG start of 8/16/13 was not on a Sunday so this could be off +/- some days. Its just an estimate.

Olav retired to West Virginia. He was showing pictures at the C&A party in July. He said that he may fill in now and then, if needed. Definitely the best captain I came across at RCI.

We sailed Adventure in 2007. We had capt. Tommy Nyseter. Are you sure you had his father? I don't remember them switching off of the same ship.

I can guarantee is was Captain Olav. There's no mistaking him.
