Sailed with Captain Rob many times when he was the Master on the Freedom OTS. He is one of our favorites.

Usually 10 weeks after the rotation starts, but the Captains can vary that slightly by mutual agreement.

I read on another site : The Captain of the Symphony of the Seas will be Captain Rob Hempstead. Born in Rhode Island. Graduated from California Maritime Academy 1986. He joined Royal Caribbean International in 1999. He is currently Master of the Oasis of the Seas.

At Captain's Corner on Harmony last week, Captain Gus said both Masters of Symphony have been chosen and that he, thankfully (his words), wasn't one of them. He didn't say who they were. He was hoping to stay put on Harmony for a while.

Since Captain Henrik started his rotation on 5/26, his 10 week rotation would still have him in charge for the August 3rd cruise.
